Free crocheting, knitting and sewing patterns and ideas are provided, but don’t worry if you don’t have those skills because there are also “no sew” items you can make. There are other crafting ideas to investigate.
Your creations are gratefully received by rescue shelters and wildlife rehab centres. They can be used in the care of their animals, or to raise funds for them. You can do something you enjoy, and save animals lives with it!

How Your Crafts Help Animals
To say you can save innocent animals lives is not an understatement. For instance, by making warm waterproof dog coats, you can save the lives of animals in rescues by stopping them freezing to death.
This is especially so in countries where the temperatures reach below -30 degrees Celsius and the dogs have limited shelter.
Your pet beds, blankets, pet toys, and pet jumpers and coats, can provide animals comfortable bedding, emotional comfort, stimulation, warmth, and can even boost adoption rates.
This is especially true for dark-coloured pets, and can actually save their lives. Larger blankets can also be hung up to prevent icy draughts getting into their sleeping areas.
Your jumpers can also keep animals of a number of species warm when they need it, such as when they have lost their fur or feathers.
Knitted birds nests can save the lives of not only birds in wildlife rehab centres, but a whole range of other small animals. Pouches and pouch liners for baby marsupials can also save lives.
Using the crafting ideas to make items for animal rescue shelters to sell or to use as prizes allows them to save more animals from suffering.
